Restore Your Smile's Function and Beauty

Dentures are an oral appliance that replaces natural teeth while also providing support for the cheeks and lips.

The majority of dentures are constructed of acrylic and can be created in two methods.

  • After all of the teeth have been taken and the tissues (gums) have healed, a traditional denture is constructed.
  • After the teeth are extracted and the tissues under the denture have healed, an immediate denture is created and implanted.
  • The palate is covered by acrylic, which is commonly flesh colored (roof of the mouth).
  • To accommodate the tongue, a lower denture is formed like a horseshoe.

One or more lost teeth can be replaced by dental implants. The majority of dental implants are titanium implants that resemble little screws.

Plastic, porcelain, or a combination of the two are used to create the teeth. Dentures can be made to fit over endodontically treated teeth, and a complete denture can be linked to dental implants for an even more secure fit.

Dentures will wear out over time and will need to be changed or relined in order to maintain proper jaw alignment. As the bone and gum ridges recede or decrease as a result of the teeth extraction, the alignment will gradually change. Denture wearers should still get regular dental examinations to check for disease or changes in their oral tissues.

Benefits of Dentures

Dentures can replace teeth in a non-invasive fashion, whether you require a full or partial set. There is no need to be concerned about surgery, as temporary dentures can be fitted right away. This is a simple and quick solution. A cosmetic dental operation, on the other hand, should be considered if you want something that feels more natural.

Negatives of Dentures

The most difficult aspect of dentures is that they do not feel like real teeth. While they are functional,  they must be cared for as a separate appliance. Other cosmetic dentistry operations make it simple to forget you’ve ever lost a tooth. Dentures are more secure and comfortable than they used to be thanks to modern procedures, but they are still a foreign item in your mouth that can become loose while eating or speaking.
